I spent 16 years in federal digital forensics, handling sensitive data under standards where every access is documented and "who touched this and when" always has an answer. That's the bar I bring to your customer list, your pricing, and your job history. Not because your business is a federal case — because your data is a business asset, and I've spent a career watching what it costs when assets aren't protected.
On paper, the category is business management consultant. In practice, the work is AI and workflow automation with that forensics standard applied: finding what's worth automating, building it simply so it doesn't break, securing the credentials and access, and keeping a human in the loop before anything reaches a customer. When AI isn't the right answer, I say so. I'd rather lose an engagement than sell you something you don't need.
