My engagements start from the other end. What does your business actually do all day, which parts of it repeat, and what is the simplest system that takes that work off your team’s plate. Sometimes the answer is automation. Sometimes it is AI in one narrow spot. Sometimes it is neither, and I will say so on a free call rather than after an invoice.

What actually differs between consultants is whether they sell you a platform, whether they document what they build, and whether you own the result when they leave. Judge on those, and interview a local competitor too. I mean that.

The engagement starts with your processes, ends with systems built in accounts you own, and includes a written scope where every piece is labeled as automation or AI, because the difference decides your costs and your risks. If a tool you are already being pitched is genuinely the right answer, I will tell you to buy it and I make nothing on that.
